[Combined Treatment for Relapse Prevention] Sebaceous Gland Hyperplasia, Syringoma

Is it over if only the surface is treated? By utilizing Agnes and Er:YAG (CO2) laser together, we approach lesions located deep within the skin and on the surface respectively. Two types of treatments are combined according to the condition of sebaceous gland hyperplasia and syringoma. *VAT not included

Approach to Reduce Recurrence of Sebaceous Hyperplasia

Simply improving the visible parts may not provide a fundamental solution.

Sebaceous hyperplasia is a skin lesion that occurs when sebaceous gland tissue within the dermis abnormally enlarges and proliferates.

Many treatments often only involve laser removal of lesions visible on the surface.

While such an approach may offer temporary improvement,

the underlying problem with the sebaceous glands themselves is not resolved, increasing the possibility of lesions recurring.

We approach sebaceous hyperplasia from a different perspective.

We aim to reduce the likelihood of recurrence by refining the surface of the lesion and managing its internal root cause.

We don't just address visible symptoms,

we pursue a treatment approach that improves both the cause and the symptoms simultaneously.

For this purpose, we utilize two types of equipment together.

1. Secret Agnes RF (Insulated Radiofrequency 1-Pin Needle)

By directly delivering high-frequency energy to the area where sebaceous glands are located,

it can help selectively coagulate sebaceous glands and reduce their function.

Utilizing an insulated microneedle helps minimize stress on the skin surface or surrounding tissues,

and it specifically targets only the sebaceous glands.

This is a crucial approach to addressing the fundamental cause of sebaceous hyperplasia.

2. Erbium YAG Laser (Er:YAG)

Compared to CO2 lasers, it allows for more precise control over the depth of the lesion during ablation,

enabling delicate removal of lesions protruding above the skin surface.

Minimizing damage to surrounding tissues shortens recovery time and can reduce the likelihood of scarring.

If necessary, CO2 laser can be used concurrently to manage lesions located at a relatively deeper level.

This differs from typical single-removal procedures.

CO2 laser ablation alone primarily addresses only the surface, raising concerns that the underlying sebaceous gland issue remains, leading to recurrence.

The combined treatment focuses on directly regulating sebaceous glands and refining surface lesions to reduce recurrence.

Characteristics of Sebaceous Hyperplasia

Sebaceous Hyperplasia

Simply removing the surface may not be sufficient.

Addressing both the external appearance of the lesion and its internal cause simultaneously is crucial for reducing the likelihood of recurrence.

Are you experiencing any of the following symptoms?

Small, round bumps appear on your forehead, cheeks, and around your nose.

The center is indented, appearing like a belly button.

It looks similar to a pimple but cannot be extracted.

It does not disappear over time and either remains unchanged or tends to gradually increase in number.

These symptoms are not just simple skin troubles,

but could be *sebaceous hyperplasia* caused by excessive proliferation of sebaceous glands, so it's advisable to consult a specialist.

Q&A

Q&A

고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.

What is the reason for recommending Agnes treatment in conjunction?

QnA

Syringoma and sebaceous gland hyperplasia are often deeply related to sebaceous glands. Agnes treatment precisely targets these sebaceous glands, helping to fundamentally manage the lesions and thereby contributing to reducing the possibility of recurrence after treatment.

How long is the recovery period after the procedure?

QnA

To protect the treated area, it is recommended to apply a regenerative tape (e.g., Duoderm, Duoderm Gel) for at least 2 weeks. Individual differences may occur.

How much pain can be expected during the procedure?

QnA

There are differences depending on individual pain sensitivity. We strive to minimize discomfort by applying anesthetic cream before the procedure.
